Shoulder works properly if the balance is maintained between stability and mobility of both glenohumeral joint and scapula. The goal of this article was to present issues related to glenohumeral internal rotation deficit and disturbed functioning of muscles stabilising scapula, as well as to show the complexity of these processes. Cascade of pathological phenomenons often develops during many years of competitor&#x2019;s cereer, which emphasize the importance of performing periodic clinical examination and early initiation of preventive exercise programme.&#xD;

&#xD;
&amp;quot;</title><link>http://www.artroskopia.org/abstracted.php?icid=911718&amp;level=5</link><description>Background:	The aim of the work was to present the therapeutic method in acromioclavicular joint dislocations. The method applies two loops of an artificial tendon.&#xD;
Material/Methods:	During 7 years, 61 patients with a dislocated acromioclavicular joint were operated on at the Department of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery (District Hospital in Gi&#x17C;ycko) with the use of this method. The method is especially indicated for physically active patients &#x2013; it allows for a rapid postoperative rehabilitation without plaster immobilisation, which results in a quick return to the level of physical performance from before the surgical procedure.&#xD;
Results:	We obtained 71.5% of &#x201C;very good&#x201D; results, 14.5% of &#x201C;good&#x201D; results, 4% of &#x201C;satisfactory&#x201D; results and 9% of &#x201C;poor&#x201D; results.&#xD;
Conclusions:	The obtained results encourage us to apply the above mentioned method, especially in physically active individuals, sportsmen, and blue-collar workers. This method allows for an early introduction of rehabilitation and it does not require immobilisation of the shoulder joint. It is a dynamic connection.&#xD;

However, periprosthetic infection, now reported with the prevalence of around 1&#x2013;2% is the most challenging complication. It is associated with disasterous physiological, psychological and &#xFB01;nancial effects. Therefore, early &#xFB01;rm diagnosis is essential to avoid further patient morbidity and mortality as well as overwhelming &#xFB01;nancial medical service costs. This article continues the review of our current understanding of periprosthetic infection with particular focus on the clinical usefulness of radionuclide imaging, preoperative cultures and joint aspiration studies.&#xD;

Traditional treatment methods in case of unstable, articular and multifragmentary fractures are insufficient for anatomical and stable reposition.&#xD;
Material/Methods:	The study contains the results of operative treatment procedures of unstable distal radius fractures, performed with the use of volar locking plates ChLP. A total of 20 patients, 15 (75%) female and 5 (25%) male, were treated in the period from the year 2008 to 2009.&#xD;
Results:	The wrist and hand function assessed using the Mayo score was excellent in 28% of patients, good in 67% and satisfactory in 5%.&#xD;
Conclusions:	Volar locking plating in unstable distal radius fractures allows for anatomical reposition and stable fixation. Rapid rehabilitation restores an excellent and good wrist function in 95% cases.&#xD;

The value of arthroscopy following TKA is still controversial. Arthroscopy is commonly used to relieve pain and restore knee function but it could be also an indication to a suspected articular infection. But the most important is to be applied with proper surgical techniques otherwise, it may cause scratching or gouging knee arthoplasty implant. Arthroscopy can be quite useful in case of stiff TKA due to arthrofibrosis, early postoperative manipulation of the knee under anesthesia. Besides this, it could be used in empyema after acute septic arthritis. Finally, in patients with significant knee osteorthosis, total knee replacement is the gold standard in treatment to relief the pain. The role of arthroscopy in TKA is still broaden. It is commonly used in knee pain, cartilage lesions, but also in acute septic arthritis, infections or osteorthosis.&#xD;

The study identified risk factors of pain and presented theoretical assumptions of the method (biomechanics of the intervertebral disc depending on the movement), diagnostics of pain syndromes and a synopsis of potential treatment modalities. Articles used in the report were searched for by means of electronic databases: MEDLINE, EMBASE, PUBMED, A&#x2013;Z list. We also reviewed collections of magazines possessed by libraries of the Universities of Physical Education in Warszawa (Warsaw), Wroc&#x142;aw and Pozna&#x144;. The following terms and key words were looked for: manual therapy, McKenzie method, spine/back, treatment with McKenzie method. The articles concerned the usefulness of the McKenzie method in the conservative therapy of low back pain. They also presented authors&#x2019; own experiences regarding the effectiveness of the method and compared the McKenzie method with other conservative treatment modalities, trying to identify the best therapeutic option. The application of the McKenzie method in the treatment of low back pain produces positive results. However, it is impossible to prove the superiority of one method over another. The best results are achieved by combining the McKenzie method with individually selected exercises of the Brunkow method or the PNF method, or by simultaneous application of cryotherapy.&#xD;
